Anthelmintic/Anti-Parasitic

[This article contains information on medicinal herbalism, read our Medical Disclaimer here.]

Anthelmintics destroy or expel parasitic worms.

Synonymous with anti-helmintic, anti-parasitic and vermifuge.

Anthelmintics directly affect parasites in the intestinal tract, blood, and tissues.

These herbs work by disrupting the metabolic activities of the worms, resulting in paralysis and death of the parasites. Taking too much anthelmintic herbs can cause nausea, "giddiness", vomiting, and intestinal disorders
