Rama Tulsi, Krishna Tulsi, Vana Tulsi  

 

Family Lamiaceae 

 

Botany 

Hailed as the "Queen of herbs",  

This herb is native to Southeast Asia and is popularly used in Ayurvedic medicine.  

 

Holy basil is a different species from common basil, which is used in culinary dishes like pesto. Holy basil is not usually found in cooking.
