Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is made fermented using the juice from apples.

Applications: apple cider vinegar is commonly added to salads as a dressing but can also be drunk straight or diluted with water.

ACV capsules and gummies are available.

ACV is added to cosmetics

Therapeutic properties:

Antibacterial

Anti-fungal

Antimicrobial

Disinfecting

Exfoliating

Hypolipidemic

Phytochemistry

Acetic acid – an alpha hydroxy acid which is exfoliating and disinfecting.

Polyphenolic compounds

Uses of Apple Cider Vinegar

Foot soak for callus and athlete's foot : I've used ACV in foot soaks for years, and it's my favorite additive for curing foot fungal infections. The acetic acid is exfoliating and will soften dead skin so that it can be easily removed.

Apple cider vinegar improves immune system function.

ACV kills antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus and E. Coli, however it is unclear how this antimicrobial activity would translate when ACV is ingested vs when it is applied topically.
