Brassica juncea (brown mustard),

Brassica nigra (black mustard)

Sinapis alba (white mustard)

 

Family Brassicaceae/ Cruciferae

Therapeutic actions

Analgesic: relieves or diminishes pain.

Anti-bacterial: destroy or inhibit the growth of bacteria.  

Diuretic: increases the secretion and expulsion of urine

Emetic: induces vomiting

Expectorant: expels mucus in the respiratory system

Rubefacient: warming and increases blood flow

Stimulant: stimulates the physiological functions of the body
