Botanical name: Inonotus obliquus

Botany 

The fungus is parasitic to trees. It grows in cold climates of Russia, Siberia, Northern Europe, and Canada, mainly on birch trees.  

Chaga has the outer appearance of burnt charcoal, and inside is orange.
