Therapeutic actions
Alterative: gradually restoring proper functioning to the body's metabolism
Anti-inflammatory: alleviate inflammation throughout the body
Astringent: contracts, tightens and binds tissues
Choleretic: aids the excretion of bile by the liver
Cholagogue: increases the secretion and flow of bile
Diaphoretic: promotes perspiration
Diuretic: increases the secretion and expulsion of urine
Hepatic: stimulates and aids liver function
Laxative (in moderate dose): aids bowel evacuation
Safety
Do not take undiluted extract internally.
Lower dose or discontinue use if abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, of other uncomfortable symptoms. Smaller dose fever and inflammation conditions.
