Botanical name: Calcium bentonite
Bentonite clay is a green, absorbent clay that is used for face masks and digestive detoxes.
Uses
Can be used topically in a face mask to absorbs dirt and oils on the skin.
Can be used on cystic acne overnight by applying as a face mask only to the irritated areas, the clay will pull the puss-filled cyst to the surface of the skin to be extracted through the pore, or the swelling may go down thanks to the clay absorbing moisture from the inflamed area.
Bentonite clay can be used topically over insect bites, to withdraw the venom and decrease inflammation and swelling.
Bentonite clay can also be used internally as a form of detoxification of the digestive tract.
